The presented flow analyzers are designed to determine the relative, conditional and dynamic viscosity of oil and petroleum products in accordance with Russian and international standards. During their development, extensive experience in in-line measurement of viscosity and density of oil and petroleum products has been implemented, which is successfully used in the following applications:

  • mixing of fuels, fuel oil, bitumen and heavy oil refining residues;
  • crude oil viscosity management on oil trunk pipelines;
  • quality control in the process of fuel and oil production;
  • oil distillation management;
  • defining the product partition boundary.

The VISC-4 flow capillary viscometer is designed to measure the kinematic viscosity (optional density and dynamic viscosity) of motor fuels, oils, fuel oil, crude oil in accordance with ASTM D445 standards. This is the only capillary viscometer conforming to the ASTM method. The design allows continuous direct measurement of the kinematic viscosity and density of transparent and opaque liquids using a standard high-precision method. The control is carried out by means of a built-in PC with Windows XP and PACS software or from a remote station.

The P-900 capillary viscometer is designed to change the viscosity during distillation, mixing and production of heavy petroleum fuels and base oils. The design of the model provides for continuous measurement of dynamic viscosity in a configurable range of 2-4000 sP.
